What is CBD?

CBD or Cannabidiol is a compound found in the Hemp plant. Hemp is the cousin to Cannabis and contains little to no THC. CBD is non-psychoactive and non-addictive and has been legal in the UK since 2018. CBD is considered a therapeutic compound and has great potential when it comes to our minds and bodies. CBD interacts with our bodies thanks to our Endocannabinoid system. Found in virtually every organ this system is designed to keep our bodies in a state of homeostasis and contributes to the healthy function of our bodies and minds.

Is it really Cannabis? | Will it get me high/stoned?

CBD is derived from the Hemp plant. Hemp is cultivated due to its high CBD and low THC content. CBD is non psychoactive and will NOT give the feeling of a high.

The psychoactive compound, THC is responsible for the feeling of a high and is currently illegal in the UK unless it is prescribed by a specialist.

Is it really legal? Age restrictions? | UK Law

CBD has been legal in the UK since 2018. There are some rules surrounding this however.
All CBD products produced in the UK must be derived from EU approved Hemp plants and contain less than 0.2% THC.

In the United Kingdom,there is no legal age for buying CBD, however, most retailers won't sell CBD to anyone under the age of 18. Products like vapes (regardless of nicotine content) still come under smoking laws meaning you must be 18 to purchase

You do not need a prescription to access CBD (Cannabidiol) products.

CBD is most commonly used to aid the symptoms of poor sleep, pain and anxiety. Although, it does have many other potential benefits. Research is ongoing into the potential medicinal value of CBD. However, current research is promising and holds a lot of scope for the future of Cannabis/ Hemp medicine.
Many studies can be found online.

Can I used CBD whilst pregnant or breast feeding?

It is not recommended to ingest CBD whilst pregnant or breast feeding.
Seek a medical professionals advice.

Will it show on a drug test? | Any negative side effects

CBD will NOT show up on a standard drug test ( so long as they meet UK law).

THC is the compound looked for during drug tests. As our products contain No THC they are 100% legal and you don't need to worry

Although negative side effects are not very common, they are possible and include:

  • Dry mouth
  • Nausea
  • Changes to appetite
  • Diarrhoea

Can I give CBD to my child/teenager?

It has been shown that CBD is generally safe for children/ teenagers and is legal to give them it in the UK. However, businesses are advised not to sell CBD to those under 18.

For young children & toddlers we recommend speaking to your GP before giving them CBD

Can I give CBD to my dog?

Much like humans some animals have an endocannabinoid system. This means that CBD is generally considered safe for dogs. THC is considered toxic to dogs.

Always consult your vet before giving your dog CBD

Can I take my CBD on holiday?

Although CBD is completely legal in the UK this is not the same for the whole world.

We strongly advise researching the laws of the country you are visiting to avoid legal complications
