What is CBD?

CBD is a therapeutic compound found in both the Hemp and Cannabis plant (UK products must be derived from the Hemp plant). It works by interacting with our CB1 and CB2 receptors found all over the body as part of the Endocannabinoid system. It is sold as a food supplement in the UK and is most commonly used to ease symptoms of anxiety, poor sleep (insomnia) and manage pain.

Does consuming CBD in a coffee provide as much benefit as an Oil?

When consuming CBD as a tincture it is considered fast acting as it gets into your bloodstream quicker than when consumed as a drink. Using CBD in the form of drinks or edibles means your body has to process it through the digestive system meaning it may take slightly longer to take effect. This is not to say any one product is 'better' than the other.
